UWRF Marketing Communications Students presented Turn It UP, a non-profit benefit for TurningPoint on May 9th, 2013 at Junior's Bar & Grill in River Falls, WI.

As a part of the requirements for the Special Topics: Non-Profit Marketing class offered at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls, students worked together to plan and put on an actual event to benefit a non-profit of our choice. We chose to aid Turningpoint, a local shelter that aids Victims of Domestic and Sexual Violence.

TURN IT UP FOR TURNINGPOINT raised more than $1,500 during the course of the one-night event. Exceeding our goals and expectations.

I was responsible for several tasks related to TURN IT UP. I was again nominated the head of the Branding Committee after my previous experience during the BAGS & BANDS event. I assisted in designing the logo, designed the posters, and large banner. I aided in the ordering of the posters from our local printing service on campus, Fast Copy, and ordered the large banner from Allegra Printing in St. Paul, MN.

During the event I manned the doors and took pictures of the event (featured below). While after the event, I, again, edited several of the photos, namely the class photo, to include the final amount raised, the date, and name of the event. I also contributed, then helped to distribute the Thank You letter out to our sponsors and contributors.

Below are several images that document the night of the event. Please, enjoy.
