As a part of our final requirements for the Special Topics: Sales Promotion & Event Planning class, Harvest Hoopla came into being.

Harvest Hoopla was a fictional event, planned during the Fall 2012 semester. It featured a newly established local berry farm, White Pine Berry Farm in River Falls, WI. Our goal was to create a fun and quirky family-friendly fall event that would highlight White Pine Berry Farm.

The event would feature a variety of family-friendly games and activities that would help introduce and promote the agricultural lifestyle. Members of the FFA, 4-H and other agricultural associations would assist in these promotions. It would also highlight local food providers and breweries at affordable prices, making it a friendly option for our target market of intercity and suburban families who were unfamiliar with agricultural backgrounds.

We invited the owners of White Pine Berry Farm to attend Greg and Irma Zwald to attend our final presentation. Afterwards, we presented them with a copy of our project and the materials that went along with it. This was all in the hopes that they would go on to incorporate parts of our design into their "Family Day."

Below, the Harvest Hoopla page features parts of the finished project. These include the finished Sponsorship Packet and the Appendix that featured various materials for the event.
