UWRF Marketing Communications Students presented Bags & Bands, a non-profit benefit to Hurricane Sandy Relief Funds on November 29th, 2012 at Junior's Bar & Grill in River Falls, WI.

As a part of the requirements for the Special Topics: Sales Promotion & Event Planning class offered at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls, SP&EP worked together to plan and put on an actual event to benefit a non-profit of our choice. We chose to aid Feeding America, and their efforts to provide Hurricane Sandy Relief to victims of Hurricane Sandy.

BAGS & BANDS raised more than $1,200 during the course of the one-night event.

I was responsible for several tasks related to BAGS & BANDS. I was the head of the Branding Committee, designing the logo, posters, and large banner. I ordered the posters from our local printing service on campus, Fast Copy, and the large banner from Allegra Printing in St. Paul, MN.

During the event I sold raffle tickets, manned the doors, and took pictures of the event (featured below). While after the event, I edited several of the photos, namely the class photo, to include the final amount raised, the date, and name of the event, and removed a banner for Two-Hearted Ale in the background. I also designed and wrote, then distributed the Thank You letter out to our sponsors and contributors.

Below are several images that document the night of the event. Please, enjoy.
